Anorexia & Bulimia

Welcome — You Are Not Alone

If you are struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, compulsive exercise, or any other food-related challenges, we want you to know that you are welcome here.

Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a fellowship of people who share a common problem — our relationship with food — and who have found a common solution in the Twelve Steps. Some of us eat too much, some too little, some cycle between both. Some of us purge, restrict, or over-exercise. Whatever your story, you are not alone anymore.

In OA, we do not judge, diagnose, or shame. We simply share our experience, strength, and hope, and work the Twelve Steps together to find freedom from the obsession with food, weight, and body image.

What You Can Expect

  • Acceptance — You are welcome exactly as you are, no matter where you are in your recovery or your journey.
  • Anonymity — Your privacy is respected here.
  • Support — Meetings are a safe space where you can listen, share if you wish, and connect with others who understand.
  • Hope — Many of us have found peace with food and our bodies through OA. You can too.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

Recovery is possible. We’ve been where you are — and together, we’ve found a way out. You are invited to attend any OA meeting, online or in person. You don’t have to say anything your first time; just listen and know that you are among people who understand.

You are welcome here.
We are glad you found us.
